A project to build new homes at a former RAF base has been shortlisted for an award.

The scheme to build new houses at Bentley Priory in Harrow is among 61 entries on the shortlist for the 2015 London Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards.

Bentley Priory is a Grade II* listed country house that served as the headquarters of Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain.

It is now home to the Bentley Priory Museum, and part of the site has been redeveloped as housing.

A total of eight category winners and a project of the year will be selected from the entries, as they go head to head at the London round of the national property awards later this year.

The winners from the building conservation, community benefit, infrastructure, design through innovation and regeneration categories will then be invited to represent London and compete against projects from across the rest of the UK at the overall RICS Awards Grand Final.
