Organisers of a new weekly running event are looking for volunteers.
The free, 5K timed runs, organised by parkrun UK, are one of the health initiatives funded by Hertsmere Borough Council's public health fund.
Organisers hope the informal races, to be held at Aldenham Country Park, in Dagger Lane, Elstree, will take place every Saturday at 9am from June and will be open to everyone.
Parkrun UK is looking for volunteers to co-ordinate the runs on a rota basis.
Organiser Glen Turner said: "The picturesque Aldenham Country Park is the perfect place to hold a park run. A park run is not a race, it's a timed run with friends and families and you can set your own goals.
"But to make the Aldenham park run a reality, we need to build a team of volunteers to help co-ordinate the events. Full training will be provided and the average commitment would only be one Saturday morning, every four to six weeks."
