A delegation of Hertsmere councillors joined business owners and entrepreneurs as they heard about the life of a broadcasting expert.

Former BBC chairman Lord Michael Grade spoke to members of Harrow Business Club, along with councillors from Harrow Council and Hertsmere Borough Council, at an event held in West House, Pinner on Thursday.

The well-known broadcaster, who is known for his charisma and public speaking skills, spoke to the audience about his extensive career - from starting out as a trainee journalist for Daily Mirror in 1966 to his role at the BBC.

Hertsmere Borough Council leader Morris Bright said: “It was a privilege to listen to a man who understands that to be good in show business, they must be good in business.

“It was inspirational to listen to for local businesses, for whom he had great advice about moving their companies forward.”
