School pupils to mark Holocaust Memorial Day
School pupils in Elstree will mark Holocaust Memorial Day at an event hosted by Borehamwood & Elstree United Synagogue.
Pupils in Years 9 to 13 at Aldenham School and Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls will hear testimony from a Holocaust survivor and take part in an educational workshop at the event on Thursday, February 12.
This year’s commemorations are particularly poignant as January 27 will be the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.
