NHS Trust staff were triumphant at a regional awards ceremony celebrating leadership.

Leadership at Hertfordshire Partnership University Foundation Trust - which covers the Borehamwood area - took centre stage at the ceremony hosted by Health Education East of England this month.

James Holland, whose role is to champion service user and carer inclusion and engagement, engagement and equality and diversity, was named NHS leader of inclusivity of the year.

Elena Baker-Glenn, a senior psychiatric trainee who was the trust’s Chief Resident from 2013 to 2014, was named student or trainee leader of the year.

The awards follow HPFT’s recent win at the Health Service Journal award for Board leadership earlier in November.

Chief executive Tom Cahill said: "I am exceptionally proud of our staff who have won awards, those who were shortlisted and all our other staff who work hard keeping our service users safe and well cared for each day."
