An investigation has been launched after cars parked in a busy high street were damaged.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after four cars in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, were damaged in recent weeks.

Between 11.30am and 12.40pm on Tuesday, November 25, a grey Suzuki and a silver Ford had their passenger side doors scratched.

On Monday, December 1 between 1pm and 3pm, a black Vauxhall’s driver side door was scratched while on Friday, December 5, between 9.30am and 10.30am, a black BMW had its passenger side door scratched.

Investigating officer PC Paul Chalkley said: “We will be carrying out additional patrols in this area but the damage caused has costs the victims hundreds of pounds in repair work, which is particularly hard hitting at this time of year.

“These incidents have all occurred during daylight and so it possible someone may have seen something that could assist my investigation.

“I would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing someone loitering near a vehicle or paying particular attention to one. Any information you can offer, however insignificant it may seem, could assist me greatly.”
