Choirs from three schools will host a Christmas Carol Concert – featuring a performance from their new charity CD.
Pupils from Radlett schools Fair Field, Shenley and Newberries, along with the Radlett Drummers, will hold a Christmas Praise Carol Concert to raise money for Keech Hospice, who provide car to adults or children with life-threatening conditions.
The concert, arranged by the Radlett Festival of Music, will include each choir performing a few songs - featuring a mixture of new carols and well known old favourites - along with readings by the children and congregational carols.
The evening will also feature a performance of the song 'This is the place' which the choirs recently recorded as a Charity CD for Keech Hospice.
Written by Radlett teenager Elissa Street, the song is based on what she thought a hospice for children should be like, after seeing the film 'A Fault in their Stars'.
Two other teenagers, Nick and Orla from Humble Cookie, recorded and edited a video of the song which was then edited by a Fair Field parent, James Flavin.
To hear an excerpt from this song or order copies of the CD, visit radlettmusicfestival.blogspot.com.
Entry to the concert –held on Wednesday, December 10 from 6.30pm at St John the Baptist Church, Aldenham - is free, with a retiring collection for Keech Hospice, and tea and mince pies will be served afterwards.
