An appeal has been launched against a decision to refuse permission for three new homes on a former school site.
Hertsmere Borough Council denied consent to redevelop the former school site in Loom Lane, Radlett, which included the conversion of the school building to a three-bed house.
Plans also included the renovation and extension of an existing cottage and the demolition of outbuildings, as well as the building of two four-bed semi-detached homes.
Officers refused the original application, saying it was “visually obtrusive, cramped and contrived”, but this decision is now being appealed against by applicant Chloe French. The appeal will be dealth with at a hearing. Representations to Hertsmere Borough Council must be received by December 26.
