Members of a community project put their knitting needles together for Age UK.
The Live Well Project, run by Community Action Hertsmere, raised more than £60 for Age UK by taking part in 'The Big Knit' - a joint campaign between Age UK and smoothie company Innocent Drinks to help vulnerable older people.
The public were asked to knit hats for the Innocent bottles, with 25p of every drink sold going to Age UK.
Volunteers Gill Oliver and Joy Nicholl, who run the 50+ Live Well Coffee Cakes and Time to Talk sessions, came up with the idea to knit hats during the sessions held at Farrier Hall on Mondays.
The Live Well members knitted 263 hats and some of the group went along to present the hats to the AGE UK shop in Borehamwood last Thursday.
