A Christmas market will be held to raise money for research into blood cancers.

Radlett Christmas Bazaar is the latest fund raising event for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research organised by 95-year-old Edith Oakley.

After Edith’s son John died from Leukaemia more than 50 years ago, she and her late husband Laurie became involved in the nascent Leukaemia Research Fund.

Edith said: “I am grateful for the loyal support the fund has had over the years; with other branches we have helped move research on.

“I look forward to meeting as many people as possible so we can continue the fight to beat blood cancers; all are welcome.”

The bazaar will be held at The Philimore Centre, Battlers Green Drive in Radlett from 11am on Sunday, November 23.
