Pupils at a primary school got a shock yesterday after being visited by a very famous bear.
To celebrate Heroes week at Summerswood Primary School, in Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, pupils were treated to a special visit from the BBC’s very own Pudsey Bear ahead of Friday’s Children In Need show.
The famous bear joined a full school assembly yesterday afternoon to hear about pupils' heroes, as well as helping raise money after school in the playground.
Headteacher Sarah Kneller said: “Having Pudsey in school was a really exciting experience for all the children. We were thrilled to have raised almost £200 in 20 minutes.
“Pudsey’s visit made sure the children had fun but also understood the important message of helping disadvantaged children in our community.”
