Primary school pupils led a special assembly to remember those who had died in the two world wars.
To mark Armistice Day, pupils, staff and parents at St Teresa’s School, in Brook Road, Borehamwood, came together for a special remembrance assembly.
The service was led by the pupils in Years 1 and 2, who explained the reasons behind Remembrance Day and the significance of wearing a red poppy.
At 11am, the whole school fell silent to remember those who had died in both world wars and other conflicts.
Headteacher Teresa McBride said: “Remembrance Day is always an important event in our school calendar, which we celebrate with a special assembly.
“We use this opportunity to remember for those who died in both wars and pray for peace around the world.”
Over the past week parents, staff and children have also been donating to the Borehamwood British Legion Poppy Appeal.
