A charity will celebrate its 60th life-saving Blood Donor Session today.
The Joely Bear Appeal was launched in 1994 in memory of Joel Renak, who died aged 4 from a rare form of liver cancer.
Since then the appeal has achieved remarkable success, and will host its 60th donation session today.
All the family are encouraged to join the appeal, who will be providing a fully supervised crèche, bouncy castle and face painting as well as plenty of free refreshments.
Sessions will take place at the Elstree and Borehamwood Synagogue, from 9.30am to 12.30, and again from 2pm to 4.30pm.
