More than 200 people have signed a petition to allow a golf driving range to build a restaurant.
The A1 Golf Centre in Rowley Lane, Arkley, has applied to Hertsmere Borough Council for planning permission for a new reception and restaurant to be built next to the existing shop and office.
Plans include the removal of the current temporary ticket office and outdoor seating area, to be replaced by a log cabin featuring a new reception and ticket office, along with a cafe and lounge area.
An additional 20 staff members will also be required under the new plans, with 16 part-time staff and four full-time workers.
To support the application, agent Philip Dean Limited has submitted documents including two petitions totalling more than 200 signatures, plus a letter of support from Arsenal FC because players' families use the driving range.
