A post office could be relocated following a customer consultation.

The proposed relocation would mean the Radlett post office will move into the Budgen shop, in Watling Street, enabling it to open 7am to 11pm on Monday to Saturday and Sundays from 7am to 10pm.

The Post Office is inviting customers and interested parties to comment before it makes a final decision.

Radlett resident Clive Glover contacted the Post Office to find out more about the move and said he has been reassured that the sorting office and parcel collection will be retained "for the foreseeable future".

He said: “Taking these assurances at face value then perhaps the proposal will be acceptable to most people.

“However there is a real issue about the space available in Budgens, including for queues which are common in the existing post office - and what will happen to the retail unit where the post office is now?”
