A runner will take on a half marathon to help grant the wishes of seriously ill children.

Emma Gullotti, from Borehamwood, will run the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on Sunday for Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes for seriously and terminally ill children.

She said: “I chose to support Starlight because Starlight helps to bring smiles to seriously and terminally ill children at a time when they have very little else to look forward to. I am delighted to support this charity's wonderful work.”

Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the 13.1 mile route runs across four of London’s stunning Royal Parks - Hyde Park, St James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park.

Runners also take in historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Albert Memorial.

Celebrities taking part in the race include chef Gordon and Tana Ramsay, television presenter Ben Fogle and chef Tom Aikens.
