Two teenagers tackled the Thames in an extreme paddling challenge.
A group of eight young people from across North London completed The Great River Race on Saturday, under the guidance of Hemel Hempstead-based Ruth Gungadoo and Robin Oakley.
Jasmine Banks, of Radlett, and Harrison Shifrin, of Shenley, joined the team to paddle the 21.6 miles along the river.
More than 330 boats competed in the race from London Docklands following the Thames past its iconic bridges and landmarks to Ham in Surrey.
Mrs Gungadoo said: “It was a fantastic effort by all involved. Especially as they were dressed as Smurfs throughout.”
