More than 40 film fans joined experts on a walking tour of a former studio.

Film historians and enthusiasts from the MGM Borehamwood group and Elstree Screen heritage led a walking tour around the former MGM studios, which were purchased in 1944, last week.

Many outdoor filming locations from the former backlot have been rediscovered using a number of veteran Oak trees that appear in many film shots and are still present in the Studio Way area today.

During the walk, which was organised by the Countryside Management Service, people also had the opportunity to find out more about plans to commemorate the film heritage of the area which is celebrating its centenary this year.

Work has now begun to implement improvements to the site and the Woodland Trail in Studio Way.
