A social club for people with limited sight is to host a coffee morning for charity.

Members of the Visually Impaired Club, which meets at Maxwell Park Community Centre, wanted to take part in the national Macmillan coffee morning that will take place next Wednesday.

However as the group normally meet on Friday afternoon, they decided to host their fundraiser as part of next week’s meeting.

The group would like to invite members of the community to join them for specially-designed games from 2pm, with afternoon tea from 3pm.

Cakes will be provided by member Michael’s mother, Sasha Capocci, who also volunteers with the club.

All donations from the afternoon, including money raised from a raffle, will be given to Macmillan Cancer Care.
