Horse lovers are invited to join a sponsored ride to raise money for the Herts Air Ambulance.

The Grand Tour Sponsored Horse Ride, on Sunday, September 21, offers three, six, 12 or 15-mile routes and takes place around the Woodhall Estate near Watton-at-Stone.

The Grand Tour has raised more than £10,000 for Herts Air Ambulance since the first event in 2010 and it is hoped riders will raise another £3,000 for the charity this year.

Herts fundraising manager Dawn Easby said: “We are thrilled to work with Woodhall Estate and the Puckeridge Hunt who put on this unique and special horse riding event each year.

“I’m sure some of those taking part may have stories of fellow riders who have needed the life-saving skills of our crew and when you look at the average cost of one mission, the event has potentially saved four very special lives, which is something all those involved will be extremely proud of.”
