The sound of barking filled the air as animal lovers took part in a dog show.
Pups and their owners had an array of activities to choose from at the event, held at Aldenham Country Park on Saturday, including doggie demonstrations and a number of competitions.
As part of the dog show, canine contestants battled to win an array of titles including waggiest tail, best coat, and best trick.
Children were also able to take part with the ‘best child handler’ award and a huge selection of children’s stalls and games available.
Demonstrations at the event included races from the Hotshots Flyball Team, who showed off their dogs’ skills in a fast relay course.
Families watched in amazement as the team’s dogs raced the length of the course to collect a ball, leaping hurdles in their path.
The Carrick family, who are on holiday from Scotland, said they hadn’t come to the park for the dog show, but were “hugely impressed” by the activities on offer.
Members of the public also had the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at the Hotshots course with their pets, along with pick up some top advice from the Mayhew Animal Home Charity on how to be a responsible pet owner.
