A non-league football club has struck a new sponsorship deal with a leading housebuilder.

Taylor Wimpey, the developer behind the Gemini Park development in Borehamwood, has sponsored Boreham Wood football club to the tune of £2,000 for its 2014-15 season.

After sponsoring the Meadow Park team last season, it is hoped the new deal will help the club to build on one of its most successful campaigns both on and off the pitch.

Boreham Wood FC’s commercial manager Mandee Morris said: “While the first team’s exploits get most of the attention, our work in the local community is a huge part of what this club is about.

“Borehamwood has a tight-knit community and we are the hub of that community thanks to the amount of work we do with local schools. Sponsorship really helps us to deliver our community work and so we are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their continued support.”

Taylor Wimpey North Thames’ sponsorship deal includes pitch-side advertising, mentions on the club’s YouTube television channel Boreham Wood TV, an advert in the matchday programme and within the club’s community newsletter which is given to 4,000 children of primary school age across the area.
