Many 15 and 16-year-old pupils across the town await their fate with the arrival of their GCSE results today.

Students who sat their exams in June have a nervous wait to determine their academic future.

Chris Hayward, cabinet member for education and skills was keen to wish all GCSE candidates from Hertfordshire “the very best of luck”.

Schools will have staff members on hand to talk through options available to its pupils.
