A charity shop has urged people to ‘bag it and beat it’ by donating unwanted items to the Borehamwood British Heart Foundation shop.
The charity currently funds more than £14 million into congenital heart disease research and this year hopes to raise even more through shop donations.
Anyone can get involved by simply filling a bag with good quality clothes, shoes, books, handbags, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac and children’s toys and taking it into the British Heart Foundation shop in Shenley Road, Borehamwood.
Every bag donated will fund life-saving heart research, helping a number of people fight against congenital heart disease.
Mike Taylor, BHF retail director, says: “We’re urging everyone to have a clear out this September and to donate bags of unwanted items to their local BHF shop to Bag it. Beat it. Your unwanted items will raise vital life-saving funds, helping little heroes continue to fight congenital heart disease.”
