A developer has appealed after plans to convert a house into flats were turned down.

The retrospective application for the conversion of an existing house into a ground floor two-bed flat and another three-bed flat on the first floor was initially refused, but the owner is now appealing against the decision.

The two flats, in Torworth Road, Borehamwood, were refused planning permission as officials said both properties were under the minimum size required for a two-bed and three-bed apartment.

Parking was also an issue, as the property only had room for two off-road parking spaces despite two being needed per flat.

An appeal has now been submitted, which will be determined on written representations received by September 4.
