A children’s hospice has been presented with a cheque for £4,000 after an investment company took part in its sponsored run.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, in Barnet, hosted a Rainbow Run on July 20, in which participants took part in a 5K run while being covered in powder paint.
Staff from Investment Mastery, of Theobald Street, Borehamwood, and their family members joined 150 other runners in the race and managed to raise £4,100 for the hospice.
Sarah Cadogan, senior corporate fundraiser at Noah’s Ark, said: “We were delighted to have the support of Investment Mastery at our first Rainbow Run event last month. On behalf of everyone at Noah’s Ark I’d like to say a big thanks to their team of 12 runners who took part on the day and to the whole company for raising an amazing £4,100.”
Noah’s Ark has now received £13,637 to date through sponsorship for the Rainbow Run.
Investment Mastery, which teaches people how to start trading on the stock market, has now handed over a cheque in presentation at the hospice’s Borehamwood shop, on Shenley Road, on Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for the company said: “They need £1,200,000 per annum to keep these services available and we want to make sure that they get it.”
