Plans for 43 new flats and houses have been unveiled for land behind a train station.

The currently undeveloped land, behind Elstree and Borehamwood station and next to Coleridge Way and Byron Avenue, could now be the location of 43 new properties following a planning application from housebuilder Taylor Wimpey and Network Rail.

Plans include the development of 28 flats, of which 15 will be social or affordable housing, plus a further three three-bedroom houses and 12 four-bedroom houses.

Parking for 64 cars plus three disabled spaces have also been included, while the application also states that it has included details on the storage and collection of waste and recycling.

Neighbours have until August 19 to comment on the proposed development.
