Candles will be lit on Monday night to mark 100 years since Britain joined the First World War.
The event, which is to be held by the Royal British Legion and Poppy Appeal, will take place at 10pm at the Borehamwood War Memorial, opposite Elstree Studios.
The 39 candles will represent each of the 39 names carved onto the memorial for those killed in the Great War.
All those interested in lighting a candle are welcome to attend.
