Despite rain washing out families day, this year’s Borehamwood civic festival has been hailed as a big success. One month on, The Borehamwood Times looks at the highlights of the fortnight of fun.
The 58th annual festival kicked off on June 14 with a film-themed carnival parade through Borehamwood with a display of bright colours and music.
Other highlights of the two-week festival included a classic car show, the 10K and family fun run and the open day at the new police station.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Richard Butler said: “I’ve been to so many of this year’s events and it’s been great to see a lot of the community joining in. I’ve had a great time at the festival as deputy mayor.”
