Children are being invited to join a new fun club to help develop their personal skills.

Children aged between five and 18 will be able to take part in the project, run by Cocoon Inclusive Arts, which will feature games, arts and crafts and drama sessions.

The aim of the project is to help develop participants’ personal skills, such as communication, observation and managing emotions.

Anna Leydon, who is in her final year at University, set up the project. She said: “I have grown up in Borehamwood and have been a strong part of the community - through volunteering from the age of 11, including being in the youth council, setting up the Connexions shop and many other opportunities through the years. I feel that now I am completing my degree I would like to give back to the community.

“Drama is a very powerful tool in which I believe can have a positive impact on the community especially in regards to personal life and social skills.”

Sessions will run every Saturday from August 2 to 23 at the Windsor Club community centre.
