A teenage boy has been arrested following an incident in a sports shop yesterday morning.

Police were called to JD Sports in the Borehamwood Shopping Park at 10.57am yesterday following reports of an incident between a teenager and staff members.

The boy is alleged to have been abusive to staff and caused damage in the store.

Staff detained the teenager in the store until the police arrived.

A 14-year-old male from Borehamwood was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence, and has been bailed until August 27.
