A riding school has submitted an appeal following the rejection of its planning application for an extension.

Penniwell’s riding school, based in Edgwarebury Lane, submitted an application for a first floor extension to its existing buildings, including three dormer windows and a gable roof.

It also featured the conversion of existing rooms into a garage space and installation of two garage doors.

The application was turned down on the basis that the level of development was considered disproportionate for a green belt and that the building would have a negative impact on its surroundings.

The school is now appealing against the decision.
