A 13-year-old boy was injured when he was hit with a plastic pole outside a fast food restaurant.
The boy suffered slight injuries following the incident outside KFC, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, at about 2.30pm on Thursday, July 10.
PC Emily Martin said: “The victim was with a large group of boys, who are of a similar age. Prior to the assault, the victim possibly made contact with the offender, who was on his push bike.
“Shenley Road is a busy road and the offence occurred during the afternoon so I am confident that people would have seen this take place.”
A 63-year-old man from Borehamwood was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail.
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police.
