A theatre manager has resigned after almost four years in the job.
The Ark Theatre manager Tom Lagden formally announced his departure to friends and colleagues in a statement today.
He said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all and I very much hope to work with you again elsewhere, and that with your support The Ark Community Theatre Borehamwood can go from strength to strength.”
Since Mr Lagden joined in February 2011, The Ark Theatre, in Thrift Farm Lane, has played host to 254 performances and over 60 community sessions and events - welcoming more than 30,000 people through the doors.
He added: “It has been a challenging yet enjoyable three and a half years but at the conclusion of the spring/summer 2014 season, The Ark’s most successful to date, and as it enters a period of change with a potential new location and funding model, the time is right to pursue new opportunities.”
Joy Cox will step in following his departure until a new manager can be found.
