A motion to reject a consultation suggesting the closure of Elstree recycling centre has been put forward to Hertfordshire County Council.

The council's Labour group put forward a motion to have the consultation rejected during a highways and waste management committee meeting on Tuesday.

The party claims the consultation is skewed to favour the closure of the Elstree centre, as it is not included in the questions regarding opening hours.

The motion will be discussed at the next cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
