Special guests paid a visit to a nursery to help celebrate its ‘graduating’ students.

Rexton House Nursery School, in Black Lion Hill, held a graduation day for its children who will be moving into primary schools in September.

Hertsmere Mayor Councillor Carey Keates, and Mayoress Mrs Shirley Keates, joined parents to participate in the ceremony, along with joining in with the children's ABC music session.

Children from the Shenley nursery, who are aged between two and five years old, received a certificate to commemorate their time at the nursery.

A second graduation ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 16.
