The Local Government Ombudsman has dismissed a complaint about planning guidelines at the Bhaktivedanta Manor site in Aldenham.

The Ombudsman investigated a complaint from a nearby resident that Hertsmere District Council had failed to consult properly on a draft planning document for the site, which is a centre for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

Alongside this complaint, the Ombudsman also investigated whether the council had considered all available evidence when it decided to adopt the document in December 2012.

The Ombudsman, reporting at the end of March 2014, found no fault on the part of the council in relation to either complaint.
