Husband and wife scout leaders received awards for decades of work with young people.
Carol and Len Denbigh received certificates for 40 years service to Scouting at Seventh Borehamwood Scouts' general meeting last week.
The pair currently lead the group, which meets at the Scout hall in Berwick Road.
Town Mayor Councillor Pat Strack said: “I think all who know Carol and Len will agree that this service award is well deserved. They have served county and district scouts and Seventh Borehamwood. They did not just serve their time but had a real effect on all areas of scouting. I doubt if there is any other husband and wife team who have served jointly in scouting for 40 years.
“I know everyone will all join me in congratulating them. Here’s to the next 40 years."
