Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner has reviewed his successes over the past year in his annual report.
The report, which covers April 2013 to March this year, sets out the highlights and achievements of David Lloyd's first full year as Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
Successes include the protection of local policing teams while ensuring the police portion of council tax did not rise for 2014-15, which has been frozen for the third year running.
Mr Lloyd said: “I hope this report gives food for thought to anyone who wonders what my role actually is in making Hertfordshire an even safer place for everyone.
"Not only do I set the policing priorities for Hertfordshire Constabulary, in my five-year plan entitled ‘Everybody’s Business’, I also have the vital role of holding the Chief Constable to account, on behalf of the public of Hertfordshire."
Other highlights of his past year in office include meeting savings targets, signing the agreement between Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire forces and setting up a county wide safety board.
The Annual Report is published in full at Mr Lloyd’s website.
