A Beaver Scout colony may be forced to close later this year if no new leaders can be found.

1st Radlett Scout Group has been running for around 95 years, opening a second Beaver colony five years ago to allow more young people to enjoy scouting.

Current Cub leader Fiona Turner is to retire at the end of term following 19 years' service to scouting - but the club is afraid it may have to close if no one steps forward to lead the group.

A number of Beaver leaders have volunteered for the role, but this would then leave the Beaver club without a leader.

The group is now asking for more adult volunteers interested in working with children from six to ten.

Anyone interested should contact Group Scout leader Jackie Glover on 01923 853483.
