A school will continue to build on its good progress after it was been told it “requires improvement” in its recent Ofsted report.
Inspectors visited St Teresa’s School, in Brook Road, Borehamwood last month and the report, published this week, gives the school the education watchdog's second lowest rating.
The report says that although achievement is improving, it is not yet 'good'.
It adds that pupils' progress varies between year groups and that disruption to teaching in the past meant that some of students have not made enough progress by the time they finish Key Stage Two.
However, it also added that changes made by the new headteacher and senior leaders have led to good improvements.
Headteacher Teresa McBride said that the report was fair as it had identified the areas the school was already working on to improve.
She added: "We have plans in place, based on our own assessments, to work on these areas and continue to make good progress."
“The report reflects the significant improvements across the school this year. The inspectors told us that we are on the cusp of being 'good' and just need a little more time to embed all of the improvements we have made this year."
