You won’t be stuck for things to do for the next fortnight as the annual Elstree and Borehamwood festival kicks off this weekend.

Two weeks of shows and events will begin on Saturday, June 14 with the Brazilian themed Carnival Parade - celebrating the community with a fine display of music and colour.

The 58th annual festival includes the Schools Art Show, a quiz night, the Emergency Services Open Day and a classic vehicle display.

There will also be a number of arena acts, a funfair for children, stalls and a number of fundraising activities.

Runners are urged to take part in the annual festival fun run held on Sunday, June 22.

The run, organised by the Borehamwood Athletic Club, includes both a 10K race and a fun run.

Finally the free Families Day event, on Saturday June 28, will close the two week festival with a wide range of activities for all the family.

For the full programme of events, visit the Town Council website.
