Borehamwood and Elstree’s annual festival will kick off this Saturday with the carnival parade - with severe delays expected along a number of roads.
The Parade leaves Brook Road Car Park at 1.45pm and proceeds along Shenley Road to Theobald Street, Aycliffe Road, and Leeming Road before heading back to Brook Road about 3.30pm.
There will be severe delays outside Tesco Car Park from 1.45pm to 2.15pm and along Shenley Road until about 2.30pm.
Elstree and Borehamwood town council has urged motorists to find alternative routes, or to come out to enjoy the parade.
Councillor Pat Strack said: “It is great fun and much hard work has gone into making it a success.
"About 20 floats are taking part with the theme celebrating 100 Years of film and television in Elstree, and local organisations and schools are joining in to make the day a success.”
