Long delays are ahead as major roadworks have begun in Elstree this morning.
Elstree Road, the A411, has been closed to allow for roadworks to be carried out and motorists are now being redirected up Elstree Hill South, which is currently facing long delays.
Residents have taken to social media to warn people to take another route if possible.
The work, part of the Elstree Crossroads Scheme, is scheduled to continue until August 31.
