  • D-Day Weekend

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the RAF Museum is holding an open weekend for the whole family, with events including a fly-past of an Avro Lancaster, interactive storytelling and live poetry, games, tours of the museum’s artefacts, and the chance to roll around Colindale in a tank.

  • Meeting Mr Boom

Borehamwood Times:

  • Potters Bar Carnival

The proceedings begin with the procession, which starts at Canada Life at 12.30pm and enters the showground, at Elm Court, for 2pm. The carnival this year includes the Schools’ Art Exhibition.

  • Concert in the Park

The annual festival of music returns to Colindale, with an afternoon of live music from around the world. On the line-up is Brazilian samba band So Kem Eh, as well as headliners Soul Fiesta and the Barnet Youth Brass Band. Enjoy a delicious barbecue while you listen.

  • Gefiltefest

A one-day extravaganza of Jewish culture and food headed up by the doyen of Jewish cooking, Claudia Roden. Also on the bill is Joan Nathan, Michal Hromas, Jana Burianova, Itamar Srulovich, Sarit Packer and many more.
