Children stretched bases, spread sauces and sprinkled toppings at a party teaching them how to make pizza from scratch.
Almost 70 young people joined the CookCamp Pizza Party, in connection with Youth Connexions, last week to learn how to make their own pizzas.
The event was organised as part of Jamie Oliver’s national Food Revolution day, set up to get children learning to cook from scratch and have fun with food.
Danine Irwin, founder of CookCamp, said the event at 96 Shenley Road was a big success.
She added: “We hope that with more sponsorship next time, we can run the event again and widen it to include younger children throughout Borehamwood.”
The event was nearly cancelled earlier this month due to a lack of sponsorship, but a number of local businesses came to the rescue including Tesco, Dominos and Donantantonio.
