Police focused their attention on three streets in Borehamwood this week to meet householders and give out crime prevention advice.
Borehamwood’s Safer Streets team visited 44 homes in Coopers Crescent, Niven Close and Sellers Close.
Through Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership, residents are offered free security and fire safety checks, along with advice on crime prevention and healthy living.
PCSO Marie Harvey said: “We are here to help. Residents seemed to really appreciate speaking to us. We will now go through the surveys conducted on the day to find out what issues local residents have and task the relevant agency to look at ways to help improve their quality of life.”
Residents who have been selected to receive a Safer Streets visit will receive a hand-delivered postcard a few days beforehand.
