A royal visit to a Borehamwood based music company celebrated the company’s award-winning record.
Orange Music Electronic Company welcomed HRH the Duke of Kent to their Borehamwood Headquarters, in Ripon Way, on Tuesday.
The visit was in recognition of the company winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the third time in six years.
Orange amplifiers have been used by music legends including Madonna, Prince and Oasis, for more than forty five years.
The Duke of Kent toured the company’s research and development facilities with the Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Stuart Nagler JP councillors and council staff.
Cliff Cooper, chief executive of the Orange Music Electronic Company, escorted the Duke on his tour.
He said: “It has been one of the most exciting days at the Orange factory since we moved to Borehamwood just over eleven years ago.
“To welcome HRH the Duke of Kent to our headquarters today has been an honour and a pleasure. The Duke has a genuine interest in the success of our business in both UK and international markets and our contribution to the local and UK economy.”
