A high-profile columnist helped raised more than £2,000 at a charity auction.
Fifty women attended the ticket-only auction on Monday night to drink champagne and rummage through the stock at the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care shop on Shenley Road, Borehamwood.
Liz Jones, Daily Mail columnist and fashion journalist, was invited to host the event and gave a speech about her life in fashion.
She also donated a number of designer items to the auction and stressed how important these were to her.
A Mulberry handbag filled with Space NK goodies was the highlight of the event, raising £600.
More items are yet to be sold in store and online, so staff hope that the money raised will continue to grow.
