Dogs and their owners raised thousands of pounds for a national charity for deaf people.
Sixty people too part in the Shenley Stroll ‘Paws for a Walk’ event around Shenley village and park last Sunday.
The event raised more than £2,000 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People so far, with sponsorship money still flooding in.
A further £211 was raised for St Martin’s Church through the sale of cream teas and refreshments.
Organiser Jan Quinton said: “A huge thank you to everyone who supported my first Shenley Paws for a Walk event. Despite the overcast skies, it didn’t rain, no one got lost and we’ve raised an amazing total.”
